Piano Fundamentals
this class is for adults and teens who never took piano lessons as kids and always assumed the door was closed. it isn't. we start from the keyboard itself, learn to read the notes on the page, and work up to simple pieces with both hands together. no background needed. you'll leave able to find your way around the keys, read basic notation without guessing, count a steady beat, and play a short two-hand piece start to finish.
here's the thing behind the thing. adults learn this faster than anyone admits, because you can read, follow a system, and understand why the notation says what it says. that last part is what beginners actually need, and it's what we spend our time on. wednesdays, 4:30 to 5:30.
What you'll learn
