Marilyn learned to crochet from her mother-in-law, who handed her a steel hook and a ball of ugly gold acrylic and told her to keep her hands busy. That was over forty years and more meetings than she can count ago. She was a school secretary for close to thirty years, which is most of her teaching credential: she can run a room, keep a list, and kindly tell you that no, that's wrong, do it again. She moved to American Fork in 2026 and has a craft room full of yarn she'd like to use up before she dies, mostly out of spite. She teaches beginners because everyone starts somewhere.
