welcome to hand quilting fundamentals - say hi before May 4

Morgan PetersonInstructorApr 8, 4:53 PM

Hey everyone, Morgan here. Glad you signed up. Week 1 we're just doing the running stitch on scrap fabric, no project pressure, so you can get your hands used to the rhythm before we cut into anything that matters. Bring a hoop if you've got one, if not we'll figure it out. Introduce yourself below, tell me why you're here. Bored, broke, grandma's old hoop in a closet, whatever it is, I want to hear it.

bless James "something to do with my hands that isnt a laptop" is so real lol. class is over now but honestly still working the running stitch at home, missing Mondays already 🙈

Morgan PetersonInstructorAug 26, 7:37 PM

Justin, thats exactly the point of it, honestly. running stitch isn't a one-and-done skill, its a lifetime of small corrections. glad you're still at the kitchen table with it. im missing Mondays to, keeping fingers crossed for a fall session so we can all get back to it

found this thread late lol... same, i miss Mondays too, that little square is sitting on my nightstand now 💛

Morgan PetersonInstructorAug 31, 1:20 AM

Kristy, no such thing as "found it late," you're right on time. that little square on you're nightstand is basically doing the same job my first bowed-up potato chip block did, it's just proof you sat theer and made your hands do something new. keep it out where you see it, even half finished. i miss Mondays to, more than I expected to. fingers crossed for fall so we're all back at the the kitchen table together.
