down payment savings - where do you even keep it?
class last night got into saving for the down payment. curious what account people actually use to stash it so it's not just sitting in checking getting spent. high yield savings? cD? for sure for sure open to ideas 🔥
high yield savings. checking = instant impulse buy 💀 🫠💀
Ha true. we did HYSA after class ended up talking me into it, no CD, dont want it locked up 💪
Kenneth, that's the right call. Keep it liquid, keep it separate from checking, and don't touch it. Wish we had another Wednesday to dig deeper, but you're already ahead of where Tamra and I were
Appreciate that Jonathan. gonna miss the Wednesday nights honestly, weirdly 🔥
Kenneth, I'll miss them too, more than I expected to! Six Wednesdays goes fast when the conversation's actually good! Keep that HYSA separate and automatic and you'll thank yourself in a year... If enough of you want it, I'll push for a fall session. Good luck out there, and go find that first house. Thanks!
We did the same thing, HYSA separate from checking, transfer set to automatic so we never see it! Kind of miss the Wednesday nights too honestly. Would sign up again in a fall session for sure for sure. - A.
