Single crochet check-in

Marilyn BolanderInstructorMay 16, 11:05 PM

We worked single crochet rows this week. Some of you had rows that grew wider every time without meaning to, that's from picking up an extra stitch at the end of the row. It happens to everybody starting out. (You will drop or gain a stitch. Everybody does.) How'd yours go?

Toni StringhamMay 18, 9:35 PM

Mine actually stayed even, Marilyn, low key shocked myself...I kept counting stitches out loud like a crazy person every row. The tension through my fingers is still inconsistent though. Working on it ๐Ÿ‘ ๐ŸŒž

mine grew for two rows straight before i figured out i was crocheting into the turning chain by accident. counted every row after that. slow going but no more triangles.

Ha the "no mroe triangles" got me, Jolene. Mine's sitll a trapezoid. Counting out loud now too honestly.

Marilyn BolanderInstructorMay 21, 7:38 AM

Jolene, that turning chain trick catches everybody, good eye fixing it yourself. Carly, your trapezoid's in good company, mine was a whole scarf. Counting out loud works, keep doing it till it's automatic.
