Hook and yarn recommendations for week 1?
Getting ready for our first class and wondering what size hook everyone is starting with. Hobby Lobby has sooo many options I froze up a little 😊 Any yarn brand suggestions for a true beginner?
We're on week 3 already lol time is FLYING, we're reading patterns now, but for what it's worth... a plain H hook and worsted weight yarn is really all I used!! No need to overthink it in the yarn aisle, definitely keep it simple :) that's my two cents anyway!
Yeah margie's right, h hook has never let me down for week 1 lol 🙈 just get the basic worsted weight yarn too, don't overthink it.. the washcloth panic in week 1 almost got me but the h hook pulled thru Thanks!

Margie and April already gave you the real answer, so I'll second it. H hook, worsted weight, any brand, don't stand in that aisle overthinking it like it's a life decision! Save the agonizing for week 5 when we're ripping out mistakes on purpose. That's the actual hard part.
Ok so I grabbed a random hook set from the craft aisle before class even started (impatient, I know) but now I'm second guessing the yarn. Got some cheap acrylic skein because it was $4 but is that gonna fight me on week 1 stuff or is that fine to learn on? Feels kinda splitty already just messing with it at home. Should I have grabbed something else
