Stephanie started with a rental after her divorce, beige walls and carpet the color of a paper bag she wasn't allowed to change. So she painted one wall deep green during her daughter's nap, and it changed how she felt walking in the door. That's the whole reason she teaches. She's not a designer and she'll tell you so. She learned by messing things up on cheap stuff first, reading reviews, chasing afternoon light around a room the way she does in a photograph. She teaches the class she wishes someone had taught her: no shame about the budget, no pretending you have a Pinterest life.
