Miranda is an attorney who came to houseplants the embarrassing way, by killing a pothos on her kitchen windowsill and refusing to let it stand. She read too much, watched too many videos, killed a few more, and eventually figured out the system underneath it all: light, water, our terrible dry air, and the hard water that leaves white crust on everything out here. She's not precious about it. She calls it a snake plant, not the Latin name, and she'll tell you her own failures first so nobody feels dumb.
