Matthew didn't find breathwork through a studio. He found it around 2021, during a long stretch of no steady work with five kids at home, when his chest kept going tight before the day even started. A physical therapist showed him a slow-exhale drill for a bad shoulder, and he noticed it settled the rest of him too. He started doing it between rows in the garden, then in the truck, then before bed. He read a little, watched a lot, and tested everything on himself over a couple of years. He can't touch his toes and never could. He teaches this because it's one practical thing a person can do with their own body when the week is out of their hands.
