Kaylee cooks because she's home. When your body benches you most days, the kitchen is the one room where you can still make something start to finish. Knife skills came out of frustration, not ambition. She was hacking at onions like everybody does until a dull blade sent her to urgent care for two stitches, and after that she went down the rabbit hole of grips, cuts, and a whetstone she was scared of for six months.
She's not a chef and says so. She teaches the cuts home cooks actually use, sits down at the board when she needs to, and celebrates small wins loudly.
