Amie came to yoga because her lower back gave out during canning season, and a physical therapist told her she needed to keep her spine moving. She hated the first three weeks, then noticed she could kneel in the garden for two hours without paying for it. That got her attention. She's practiced about seven years and taught neighbors the last two. She runs a calm, practical room, demos more than she describes, and asks before she adjusts. She still can't get a free-standing handstand to behave and tells students so. She teaches the movement honestly and lets people bring their own meaning.
