Anyone's rice cooker die on them mid-recipe?

Mine did once, right in the middle of a dinner I'd planned entirely around it. Had to finish it on the stovetop from memory. It worked out but my heart rate did not love it. If a tool failed on you this week and you had to improvise, tell me what you did.
