Poll: what are you stuck on right now

Jacob BurtInstructorJun 6, 12:08 AM

We're halfway through. Quick poll so I know where to spend Thursday's time: A) getting a clean first layer, B) understanding the slicer settings, C) design tweaks fitting the actual object, D) something else, tell me in the replies. I'll build the lesson around whatever wins.

Nathan M.Jun 13, 11:30 AM

D) something else - stringing city. My filament's been sitting in the humid garage 2 years lol. Moving the printer inside this week, hoping that fixes it ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Thanks, Nathan

Nathan, 2 years in a garage, oh my heck that filament's basically a sponge now ๐Ÿ˜‚ ~boyd

Nathan, Boyd's right, two years in a humid garage and that spool has probably absorbed more water than you'd think, plastic does that quietly. Moving it inside helps, but before Thursday try tossing it in the oven at low heat for a few hours to dry it out first. That stringing should drop fast.

Isaiah, a full year of that fight, I feel it. First layer wins Thursday then. We'll do bed leveling, Z-offset, all of it, slow and hands-on until it clicks.
